Gac fruit, jo ki kai baar "spiny bitter gourd" ya fir "baby jackfruit" ke naam se bhi jaana jaata hai, ek prakar ka exotic phal hai jo mainly Southeast Asia mein paya jaata hai. Iska scientific naam 'Momordica cochinchinensis' hai aur yeh tropical aur subtropical climates mein ugaaya jaata hai.


Gac fruit ka itihaas lamba hai aur yeh phal especially Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, aur other parts of Southeast Asia mein prachin samay se istemal hota aa raha hai. Iska istemal traditional dishes, festivals aur medicinal purposes ke liye hota aaya hai. Ise kai jagahon par decorative purposes ke liye bhi use kiya jaata hai.


Gac fruit ka roop chhota jackfruit ya fir karela jaisa hota hai, lekin iska outer shell thorny hota hai jo ise kaanteela banata hai.
